Does anyone know why i have to rebuild my starter clutch a second time in 12 months. I gave it the once over when i rebuilt the engine last year changing the springs etc everything looked fine. After that it worked ok for 6 to 8 months and now back to square one with the rumbling noise and catching ...

If you can get it to make the noise whilst on the stand, try putting a piece of wood to your ear and touch the other end on the engine and move it around till you can hear where the noise is coming from, it acts like a stethiscope.

Does anyone know if split inlet rubbers on my 1000H would affect the running as to cause a misfire and popping from the exhaust
