Hi Guys I know I haven't been around for a while, been busy getting married and now selling our house. My dad's restoring my 1979 Z650 and he says I need the top hat that goes in the speedo drive as mine is all mangled. Does anyone have one or know where we can get one? I am pretty sure he's tried Z...

cheers guys... I don't think this will be on the table for a little while but I'll pass all the info on to dad and see what we can find. I think he knows a guy who can skim the drum as the wheel won't fit on his lathe.... but we'll check all the other options first as they sound cheaper and easier!!...

Z650 Drum brake locking up

Before I put the Z650 into store one of the problems I used to have was the rear drum break locking up.... not every time but sometimes i would put my foot on the brake and it would send me skidding. Blokie says the drum is oval but my dad's not convinced. Are there any other reasons why this would ...

turns out a mate on the zrxoc had one stashed in his garage. we'r not sure if it's the right one but might be somewhere to start... so me dad's gonna look at it and see what can be done.

we're reluctant to use another old one, might as well use the one we have then.

As the rest is getting an overhaul, wanted to start with a decent loom too.
