_ http://i1174.photobucket.com/albums/r615/grogshaw/bike/IMG_0098_zpsqwcm7v3t.jpg [/IMG] Folks; thanks for the suggestions. I've (hopefully) attached a pic which shows the clearance available (excuse the grime, it's not as bad as it looks - honest). From memory, a standard drive cable will alm...

And evening again!

Fer/ADRIAN H - where is the pickup for the electronic tacho? Off a crank speed sensor or somewhere else?

Evening all; Thanks for the replies. Taffus - the brace is welded tube, just above the exhaust headers - and JUST in the way of the drive; will fire up a pic when I get a chance if it will help. Sid - don't think I could get that bit in; maybe what I need is a piece that THINKS it's a tacho drive th...

Tacho drive

Afternoon all; Seeing as summer has finally arrived here in the far north I took the Z1R out for a run round, which found me facing (literally) a long-standing wee annoyance - lack of a rev counter. Thanks to a frame bracing tube being placed a smidgen (technical term) out of place (a looong time ag...

Folks; Like the idea of Harrisons, may have to raid the piggy bank at some stage but will have a look at GPz stuff also. Fluff - HH pads sat on the shelf ready to go, so high hopes for those! Then of course, extra stopping may mean extra suspension. Progressive springs anyone, or any better ideas? A...

Believe me mate, it does! But you know how it is, once one bit is sorted the urge to tinker doesn't go away... Just curious as to whether something off a newer model might fit.

More (any!) stopping power for Z1R

Folks; In the process of refurbing the Z1R, and looking for ideas for improved stopping power for the front. I've already sorted the master cylinder malarkey - a Fireblade remote setup works a treat and looks neat (except there's nowhere to put a RH mirror now, ho hum..) and was hoping someone might...

Thanks for the replies guys - it's the bottom bit that is the problem - the bits of plastic that make up the indicator connections have fallen apart. The rest of it still works fine.

Z1-R LH switchgear

Folkz;

Looking for the LH switchgear for a Z1-R (or similar - it's the one with the self-cancelling indicator system). The innards have fallen apart and need replacing, so condition not too important as long as all the gubbins inside works.

Cheers

Ted;

Got a Fireblade master cylinder on mine - works a treat, 'cept there's nowhere to hang a mirror. Just make sure you're always moving faster than anything behind you...
