Usually there is a number on the unit face...

One is Tec 1020

The other one has no number but has a small mark which I cannot make out...

I have two in the shed, may be Z1000, if you can get the number on the front and let me know...

Removed wheel and bent the two tabs inward so they will engage in the wheel, and all seems to be OK again.

Have a KZ1000 J 1982 with electronic speedo, had front wheel of for a clean and all looked OK, took it out for a drive and speedo stopped working. What checks can I do to see what went wrong and needs replacing???

Yep,,, have the coils (3 Ohms) and Dynatec will sell me another Dyna S at half price as a good will gesture...

CDI unit had given up, would start and run at the house, after about 30 miles it would cut out the two inside cylinders. Sometimes it would kick back in sometimes not... A second hand original was 80 quid not guaranteed so went with Dyna...

update...

Being talking to Dynatec USA...The Accell coils I have fitted are 140404 which are 0.7 Ohms and are only suited for a CDI system. I need 140403 Accel which are 3 Ohms or other 3 Ohms coils to work with Dyna S.
