Z1000A1 = Death Handling :D
OK. OK. So don't flame me, but it's been a while since I've had the Z on the road, and to me it's now handling worse than I can ever remember. I ran a Buell 1125R for a year or so and perhaps that's skewed my views on how the old Z handled before. I was in a nice smooth long sweeper at about 90 - 11...

Cheers Mark. I have two of these and I just noticed something, (both are slightly different) don't know if it makes any odds but perhaps those with the low profile jobbie can tell me what one they have fitted and if they fitted it as per OldKawmans instructions. http://www.oldkawman.com/z1parts.html...

Low Profile Oil Breather??
What's the verdict on these? I've heard some folk say that they can cause oil blow back on a major scale, others say they have had no problems. I'm about to fit one and was just going to use it with a small K&N breather. Any talk of having to fit a catchment tank will put me off as all I want is...
		I'd say deff go for powder coating the JMC Mark, more than worth any loss of 'apparent' bling as it will never again fur up, lol. All imo of course ;) Your bike is looking great so don't worry a jot about the naysayers :D Just make sure you ask whoever is doing the coating to carefully mask off the ...

Fork Seal Replacement
I've never replaced the seals on my 77 Z1000 but one of them is now leaking a fair bit. Anything I need to watch out for, any tips for dismantling the forks, removing the seals etc, best type / weight of fork oil, amount of oil recommended if anything other than standard. I'm on standard springs at ...

New pilot jets arrived today. Fitted the 20's and as soon as I fired the bike up I knew it was running 100% better. Thanks everyone. It just goes to show how sometimes the simple things are the easiest to overlook. The only slight problem now is the tickover. It ticks over at about 1500 - 2000 rmp. ...
