clutch casings

anyone know if the clutch adjustment side casings are interchangeable there seems to be two diferent types, one with the large oval , and one with the smaller oblong "blanking off plates" for the adjuster, they look as though they are,. not sure though thanks.

yea you were right howie, i followed your advice all but 4 plates were stuck together , got shitted up to glory cleaning them and oiling the surfaces, put new ball in at same time. must say works like new. cheers.

well 90%, that's good enough thanks, looks like a new cable then, anyway, do you think Z, power will stock them, she's got the high bars?..

if you mean the lock nut and adjuster screw , yes, not sure of any other adjuster other than the cable though. could the ball bearing roll out on the side stand do you think? thanks..

couldn't get any gears today, adjusted the clutch cable almost to it's limit, and played with the adjuster. drop her in 1st and she crunches and stalls badly,. i had the casing off last week cleaning the mechanism behind it, also took the push rod out, i'm now wondering if the small ball bearing at ...

recently changed the carbs on the old darling, cleaned em , balanced em, now she runs great, a lot more responsive, but now there's a bit of vibration around 45mph which progressivly gets worse as speed increases , any ideas out there. cheers ..Dek.. :(

:D have you tried brasso not the liquid type you buy it in a tin and it's a bit like wadding, brings alloy up like glass hard work though. :D

sounds like to much air could be sucking in on the carb side check all rubbers for tightness muffle the filter box intakes engine should cut out, if still coughs screw in air srews a midges , each one seperate on a run could be only one cylinder you see it sounds like its fighting with the air somew...
