yes thats what i did i linked them together with one pipe but it still poured out of the filter housing.

does anyone have a good set of valves for a Z1000 A1 / A2 going cheap or does anyone know where to buy new ones that dont cost an arm and a leg. or can bent ones be straightened ?
ive sold my best A2 so now im making a start on my project one. :wink:

hi, thats all a little confusing. how do i tell the difference between TDC on it's compression stroke & TDC on it's exhaust stroke ? i tried putting my finger over the no 4 plug hole and kicked it over but felt no pressure at all. The valve timing can be out due to the crankshaft completing 2 fu...

hi, thanks for the diagram. its the same one as in my manual and thats the way i timed it up but still no compression.
is there any other way it can be timed up ?

ive had another twiddle today and its not looking good. i checked that pistons 1 & 4 were at the top with the plugs out and the camshafts were lined up with the arrow marks facing front for ex cam and rear for inlet cam and the TDC for 1 & 4 was lined up at the bottom but still no compressio...

is it possible mine has been timed from pistons 2 & 3 at TDC. ive been lining the cams to 1 & 4
