As the title looking for a z650 to start a project. Will be doing a "Period" special so anything from a frame up would be good. The more complete the better but would feel bad about using a nice one. Want the classic ducktail look not as keen on a custom, but can always mod it if thats wha...

My z1000st was similar. Found that the stator windings were showing fine with no load but broke down when under any load . check the ac output between each of the yellow wires. They should all be around 50v if I remember correctly. As an aside I used a zxr400L stator in my St and it gives 14.4v now....

Which inlet does the vacuum pipe connect to?
worth checking the fuel was not running down the vacuum pipe into the inlet and straight into the cylinder.
I know you were on prime but these taps are getting old
