Looks like i need to do mine again as the starter is still slipping and making horrible clanging noises when trying to start it. I think the 3 x bolts may be loose again. :evil: Pigford what torque do you do your bolt up to? Because on mine it`s 95 ft 1b, and i can`t imagine a cable tie would hold ...

Looks aside, an h2 would eat a z on acceleration, my z1000 is like a pushbike compared to my h2 in the lower gears !

Another advantage of a maintenance free ( sealed type battery ) there's no breather pipe and top up caps so therefore less corrosion around the battery area
p.s Does the Odessey battery fit in the battery box properly ?

I assume you mean the one at the base of the barrels and not the ones at the cylinder head joint. It seems to be there mainly to dampen the camchain movement when the chain is going onto the crank. Who did you buy it off - ie are you sure it's for a Z1000 and from a reputable manufacturer ie PMC an...

Bottom guide roller
The new bottom cam chain chain guide roller between the crankcase and block on my z1000a1 is smaller diameter than the one taken out ( only by 5 mm ), does this matter ? Has anyone come across it before ? Help appreciated z1000chris
