Etching primer, then black satin enamel paint but if tap leaks it will dissolve paint!........looks new when done though

Probably anodising would be best

very nice..........thought about doing something similar with one of them.

the third bike needs quite a few parts including an engine so that one might end up the project bike!

Neil, they look like the basis of a very good project. i had two over the years A and B models wish id kept one! :( yes Andy, the M is all there, managed to get a good seat off E-bay, just needs a good tidy up! I will keep one of the A's just need to keep a look out for an engine as the third bike ...

You can't just re-bleed the system with dot 5. You must totally strip the braking system and remove all traces of dot 4 if going over to 5. Also you will most likely have to replace all the seals too in the calipers and master cyl. 4 and 5 don't play well together (glycol v/s silicone) and will mix...

yes I noticed that Eric.........apparently 5.1 has additives that make it corrosive

just ordered a bottle of Dot 5
