Thanks Zedhead and much as I like the look of Ohlins I was having a look at the Wemoto site, as they seem to be the Uk dealers for Yss and they have reduced their YSS prices at the mo. I used my brothers BMW fitted with a YSS mono shock for a couple of thousand kilometres of riding in the Rockies a...

Thanks ELR I appreciate the sympathy and losing 3 will make me feel better about losing my one. One useful tip a friend passed on is to drill a small hole in the lower lug and slide an R-clip in after the lug has been pushed through the rubber. I may give that a go. I have a classic vehicle show at ...

Matter of interest how much does Ferret charge for say a Zed rewire? Never had my Z1000R done as it has never given me any problems but I paid £400 for my Kawasaki S3400 triple which included modern reg/rec and the re-fitting of Boyer as Ferret rewires them in a particular way that Boyer don't. On...

Mike , what's the problem, we could possibly solve here! RegardZ. manualelectricians are too labour intensive! :D Can't argue with that view but if you have a bike you plan to keep long term, the expense can be worth it and the guys that do it for a living are far quicker than any of us will ever b...

The pin is exactly the same as my early H1.

The central steering damper comes down through the yoke, through the stem and screws into the damper anchor plate that has the friction plates within it. The plate is anchchored as it fits around this pin.

If you are still running a 630 how about considering the change to 530. B & C do a conversion that includes the spacer for the front sprocket. The 530 are easily up to it. I have only adjusted mine twice in 3,000 miles and found benefits such as better gear change and less noise. Chain brand is ...
