I had a similar setup in the 70's and girlfriend did not like them at all.

Thanks, that's what I was after. Some idea of what a pillion thought of them.

Rear peg hangers.....to be or not to be?

I'll be fitting a +2" Bill Wirges swingarm to my mkII and given that it has its own set of rear pegs it makes the standard hangers redundant. I notice a lot of people remove this rear framework with the intent of lightening the frame, but what is the pillion experience with swingarm mounted peg...

Which threadlockers?

With my upcoming rebuild I'm wondering which loctite products I'll need and where. I have some 263 stud lock but which others should I have on hand? :?:

Armature screw

HELP! As is always the case with screws when you have a number doing the same job. Broke the seal on two of the three, then number three chewed out the head. Now instead of an Allen head it has a nice round hole in the top. Any ideas on how to sort it? Was thinking I could Dremel a slot for a stanle...

1075cc carbs

I'm going to bore out to 1075cc and fitting .384 lift cams.
Will this be within the range of adjustment for my standard vm28s, or am I going to run out of top-end?
Running Airbox and 4 into 2s.
Tks

Thanks for that. I suspected bronze brazing would be the best option.

Braze or weld?

I'm looking to stiffen my mkII frame and noticed that Sanctuary appear to braze rather than weld. Does one method have an advantage over the other, such as less prone to cracking?

Re: Good idea

We bore out that entire centre section when doing a rack and pinion clutch release conversion with no issues or loss of rigidity.

In that case I will relax and stop making problems for myself! Tks

Reassuring!

Seen a few with surface cracks like that (most likely been there from new) but never seen one fail and the pressure from the clutch mushroom is on a wider radius where the plate is much thicker too. I wouldn't worry about it. Thanks for that. I'm going to be putting an APE heavy duty clutch kit in ...

Cracked Clutch Spring Plate

Popped the clutch cover today and spotted the outside centre has a webbing of fine cracks. They were not visible from the inside / push rod side, so not yet right through. http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d35/chris_jones54/DSC_0925_zpshls3wtha.jpg Has anyone else encountered this?
