Cheers for the kind words Andrew. See you are from Farnham. Going to the show had a fun 6am detour down the A3 to cut across through Farnham to join the M3, as it was closed from the M25. Following my nose in the rain trying not to end up in Portsmouth!

Nice z1 , not mine though.It did have original pipes . Only saw 3 Z1a's in the show and one won an award (not mine though!). Have entered my Z1 for exhibition at the Carol Nash Bristol classic bike show feb 4/5. Never been before , is it any good? Travelling from the Sussex coast so a fair distance, hope it isn't a disappointment! Is the club having a display?

Hi Guys thanks for the pm's. Have been offered some pipes but I don't think i was specific enough as have been offered a few different marked pipes! Bike is a late Z1A and the pipes are marked With 13236S in large stamping. Checking the pipes out the left isn't to good either so anyone with any spar...

Hi Ray should have been more specific, rings 1 & 2 were in the wrong position on 3 of the pistons, 1 was correct. I cannot understand how someone who is supposedly an expert can strip an engine completely, vapour blast it and then reassemble it without replacing worn parts or putting things back...
